In this extensive course, we will cover the history of prosthetic and orthotic manufacturing, the materials used, the alternatives now available, and the how to of laminating AFOs, and more flexible and comfortable prosthetic sockets. This course is broken up into a number of chapters and can be done at your own pace by starting and stopping as you need to without losing your place. The "Alternatives to Carbon Fiber" course is worth 2.5 Continuing Education credits from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC), 3 MCE Continuing Education credits from Orthotics Prosthetics Canada (OPC) or 4 credits from (BOC) Board of Certification/Accreditation. You must be certified by ABC, OPC, or BOC and get an 80% or better on the test questions and you will receive science Category I credits.
